Our very own Kaya Press board member (and recent Pulitzer Prize winner), Viet Thanh Nguyen, recently penned a piece for the New Yorker called Reconsidering the Work of a Chinese Immigrant. Our main man Nguyen reviewed a book by Hua Hsu entitled A Floating Chinaman: Fantasy and Failure Across the Pacific that acts a biography for Kaya’s own historical rediscovery treasure cove, H.T. Tsiang.

Within the article, Nguyen lays into the intricacies of Hsu’s book and mentions Kaya as the “edgy” outlet for H.T. Tsiang’s previously undiscovered masterworks!

Be sure to stay posted to the Kaya Press website for more info on the forthcoming release of H.T. Tsiang’s newest rediscovered gem, And China Has Hands.
