Kaya Press is excited to be one of the partners bringing you the inaugural Smithsonian Asian Pacific American Literature Festival held in Washington DC at the Smithsonian, The Phillips Collection, Library of Congress and the Dupont Underground from July 27 – 29, 2017. Friday July 28th, we’ll be bringing Japanese American and South Asian writers together to talk about Migration, Incarceration and Unity with Gene Oishi, Tanzila Ahmed, Traci Kato-Kiriyama, and Hari Alluri. Then that night at the Dupont Underground, we’ll be bringing you another edition of our irresistible LITERAOKE featuring Beau Sia, Franny Choi, Paisley Rekdal, Nayomi Munaweera, Alexander Chee and many more folks.
