On December 9, 2021, Kaya Press, Kearny Street Workshop, and Kundiman came together to celebrate poet and visual artist Truong Tran’s BOOK OF THE OTHER (Kaya Press), featuring appearances by Mai C. Doan, Dan Lau, Muriel Leung, Amber McCray, London Pinkney, Mimi Tempestt, and Carlos Quinteros III. The evening honored Tran’s tremendous impact as a teacher and artist and concluded with a special reading from his latest collection.
