Co-organized with our wonderful friends Kundiman, Asian American Writers’ Workshop, The Asian American Literary Review, and the Smithsonian Asian Pacific American Center, Literaoke was an epic closure of AWP19!

The venue, Chopsticks Karaoke Bar, was packed with about 200 people! Some people could not even find seats, but it did not stop them from having fun. Featured lineups read their original works, followed by one minute of their favorite karaoke bangers. With a wonderful selection from 70s disco to 90s grunge, and from angry breakup song to post-punk ‘gospel’, Literaoke was definitely the highlight of AWP!
