On May 29th our beloved Kaya author, R. Zamora Linmark, sat down with Michel Martin (host of NPR’s All Things Considered) to discuss his lasting 90’s debut novel, Rolling the R’s! We’re obviously big fans of Rolling over here at the Kaya Press office (especially since it still stands as one of our all time bestsellers) so we’re more than excited to hear Linmark wax nostalgic about the novel’s iconic queer characters, 70’s pop culture references, and reverberating impact. If you love Rolling the R’s as much as we do, or want to know more about this Asian diasporic disco masterpiece, listen to the interview here.

And get your own copy of Rolling the R’s right here, right now!

“The most consistent intelligent wide-ranging committed press I know – Kaya is an example of how to turn ‘small’ books into literary arrows that shoot straight and true into the heart of our culture and (of course) ourselves.”

— Junot Díaz
