Not too long ago we brought you Self/Split: Performance and Poetry from Asian Diasporas, where four renowned Asian diasporic artists blew everyone away!

We had D’Lo, queer/transgender Tamil-Sri Lankan-American actor/writer/comedian, whose work D’FunQT is one of our forthcoming books! We had Chiwan Choi, dubbed the “Jay-Z of poetry” by L.A. Weekly, read from his book Abductions.

Described as a “firestarter” by Time Out: Hong Kong, queer Hong Kong poet Nicholas Wong read from his groundbreaking collection Crevasse which is available for purchase now. Last but not least, New York playwright and performer Sam Chanse, author of recently published Lydia’s Funeral Video, gave a wonderfully humorous and insightful performance on culture and identity.

Thanks to all those who came out to Self/Split! If you weren’t able to make it, enjoy the featured segments in this recap video below, and be sure to check out the artists’ works too!
